Tamara

Dasha's sister came to visit us after Christmas and she was so much fun. Here you see her in the metro by herself and then with Dasha. The other is them trying to battle the wind. We all would have loved for her to stay longer but she had to go home. Come back to us Tamara!

Poor Yvonne...

So Yvonne had some really bad luck one day. It started when we were leaving a friend's house and we found her car window broken and her radio was stolen from inside. After spending a rather comical time at the police station where the agents sang songs with us in both German (no idea) and English (You are my Sunshine) we arrived home and while trying to put her jacket on the coat hanger, it fell on her. And not much later, the same jacket that made all the other fall, became stuck on due to a broken zipper. Here you see Luisa trying to help her take the jacket off. Luckily it did not ruin a night of good fun!

Bubble gum

I brought some bubble gum back from the states and Yvonne and I had a bit of fun with it. We started in the train on the way home from the ballet. We taught each other some new things like how to make one inside the other and two right next to each other. It was so late and we were so tired but the sugar was going to our heads. We are okay with acting like ten year olds.

Everything is beautiful at the ballet

Paris is of course known for the events that come so we were lucky enough to get some cheap tickets for the ballet. It was a Russian troupe that came and although I cannot recall the name of the ballet nor the troupe I can say that even though 7 euro tickets puts you up in the rafters I was mesmerized. It was incredible to see how they dance for 3 hours and make it look so easy and fun and even the fact that my rear was squished into the smallest seat and I had to lean forward the entire night did nothing to me. I was in another world. Ballerinas ROCK!

Victoria

When I got back to France I was invited to go to have dinner at a teacher from the high school's house and being that she lives far from the school, I stayed over. She lives in a quintessential French village and her house is out in the woods. There I met her husband and their most beloved child Victoria. She is the cutest St. Bernard in the world and for the two of us it was love at first sight. She did not leave my side for most of the night. We walked in the forest, sat in the living room and talked and had a wonderful dinner. What a loyal companion.

Home for Christmas

I feel lucky to have seen some of you during my short stay in the states. I really wish that I could have seen more of you but here are the people that I spent most of my time with. I love my brothers.

Leaving for Christmas

So I obviously need to do some catching up on the blogging so somethings will be out of order because some pictures have not arrived to me from other people yet.

So I left to go home for Christmas on Sunday night at 20h from Paris to London on the train and the next day my flight left from Heathrow at 11h... I knew that I was going to have to spend another night in the airport but I was okay with it.
What I was not expecting was that everyone else's flights were cancelled and that I would be spending the night will hundreds of people. Some of you got phone calls because I stayed awake the whole night, being there was no where to even really sit there were so many people.

Luckily for me though, all of my flights were on time even in Chicago. The picutre you see is of the gate that I left from in Chicago. I was happy that it was an uneventful voyage.
